Not only is it at a very high altitude but at the confluence of four important rivers for the birth of Indian civilization – the Indus, Brahmaputra, Sutlej and Ganga rivers.

Weather conditions from May to September in Tibet, can be expected to be dry and sunny, with precipitants in July and August, day time temperatures can be as high as 22 degrees centigrade in Tibet. The average daily
temperature will be 10 degrees centigrade, however, the intense sun at high altitude can make it feel even hotter.
Please start to get in shape NOW!!! A good 30 minutes’ walk, jogging daily, stretching, and regular exercise should put you in the right shape (Concentrate on your heart & legs – Aerobics).
This is an environment related condition that can affect anyone who ascends too rapidly to high elevations without acclimatizing properly.
Kathmandu airport transfers on arrival and departure will be done by bus. All Nepal side journeys will be done by an ordinary bus. Throughout the journey in Tibet, you will be travelling in a 2×2 luxury bus.
Our highly experienced Sherpa staff will be responsible for all camping & cooking arrangements.
There will be a briefing of the program on the day of your arrival in Kathmandu. It is very important that all participants attend this briefing.
Accommodation in these places is very basic without any modern amenities. So please co-operate with the available accommodation facilities.
We will be providing vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked by our Sherpas at the campsite, who will be taken from Kathmandu.
A local English-speaking guide will escort the group throughout the tour in Tibet.
We recommend that you insure yourself against sickness, EMERGENCY RESCUE, accident hospitalization, etc. We are not liable and responsible for any damages or extra expenses that may arise from mishaps and the loss of their belongings during the pilgrimage.
The last place to make any international calls is in Darchen, Tibet. However, please be informed that it may be difficult at times to get the connection. If any urgent messages must be sent to any of the participants, then please contact us at our Mumbai office (99692 76580/98698 38077).
All participants must provide a health certificate given by a MBA doctor confirming that the participant is fit to travel in altitudes of 5700 meters. We do ask you to bring along your own small first aid kit (available at Pharmacies).
In the event of any cost increment from the Tibet/China side, the increased cost needs to be paid by the participants accordingly.
Travellers are required to follow the itinerary strictly. The entire Group will enter & exit together as per schedule. Note: Additional USD 300 will be applicable if the Tibetan government applies the rule of 17 tourists per bus on the Tibet side

1st day 4765m - 18 kms trek, 2nd day 4690m - 22kms trek and last 3rd day 8 kms trek.

At this time of year there is an incredible drop in temperature from early afternoon to evening time, temperature at night-time will drop as low as 0 to -10 degrees centigrade at altitudes of 5000 meters, our highest camp during the KAILAS PARIKRAMA.
Yes. One oxygen cylinder with a mask will be provided in each batch during the PARIKRAMA. Please note that oxygen is to be used only in case of emergency.
Yes. Yuan is the basic unit of Chinese Currency. *At present US$1 = 7 Yuan approximately and 1 Yuan = INRs. 12/- approximately. (*Cost subject to Yuan and $ currency rate). Credit cards are not accepted in China.
You must be in possession of a valid passport for at least 1 year validity. We will obtain visa forms which contain information like full name as it appears in your passport, passport number, date of expiry, place of issue, nationality, date of birth and occupation. Fitness Medical Certificate from family doctor. Two Visa size photographs with white background are also required.
Yes. Your original passports should reach us not later than 45-60 days prior to your departure.
