When you think of Kailash, only one Kailash comes to mind. There are five sacred Kailash peaks in all known as Panchakailash.
One Kailash peak is located near Mansarovar in Tibet. The other four are in India at different locations; in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Kinnaur Kailash is a mysterious, sacred place at a height of 17200 feet above sea level.
Also known as Shrikhand Mahadev Kailash, it falls in the Garhwal range of Himachal Pradesh.
This is also called Mini Kailash. This Adi Kailash is seen/reached while going to the famous Kailash near Manasarovar in Tibet. But for that, one has to take the traditional route to Kailash. While going through the new route from Nepal or Sikkim, this beautiful Kailash, the counterpart of Kailash in Tibet, is not visible. The famous Om mountain is also visible on this route.
It is the more famous Kailash among the four lesser-known Kailash located in the Bharmour subdivision, Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh
The Manimahesh Lake, at 13,000 feet at the foot of the Kailash peak is a sacred pilgrimage site.
No need to say a word about this. Only experience, feeling is important.
Nearby the mysterious silent Ravana Tal, the dissolved sapphire Manas Sarovar. Behind it the wonderful Kailash mountain.
These are the five Kailash. All these Kailash can be reached only when the monsoon season reaches its peak. That too in just thirty to forty days. The rest of the roads are closed throughout the year. Shiva is absorbed in his samadhi and meditation.
